Augmented mobile data collection functionality in To-Increase Food Manufacturing and Distribution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV

We replaced the mobile data collection functionality in To-Increase Food Manufacturing and Distribution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 SP 1 with enhanced capabilities based on our NAV Anywhere Framework. For food companies, mobility becomes more productive, extensible, and configurable. Distribution and warehouse employees can rely on a powerful, highly usable tool that helps them do their best work in the best way.

In the view of many food companies that use To-Increase Food Manufacturing and Distribution for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, powerful mobility in logistics and distribution processes is a key element in bringing greater speed and accuracy into the operation. To enhance the solution with the best mobile data collection technology we can offer, we are replacing the Automatic Data Collection module with capabilities based on our NAV Anywhere mobile platform with its enterprise-level and extremely adaptable capabilities. Automatic Data Collection, no longer needed, is being discontinued.

When you run the latest release of Food Manufacturing and Distribution, you can give warehouse workers access to mobile solution and ERP capabilities on a wide variety of browser-equipped mobile devices, under several common operating systems, and for the most widely used versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. You can use the tools in the NAV Anywhere Framework to adjust existing mobile data collection and logistics processes or build new workflows when requirements change. In the most recent version of Food Manufacturing and Distribution, it has become significantly easier to fine-tune food distribution processes to give your warehouse workers the level of mobility that supports their best performance.

For your distribution and warehouse employees, mobile data collection and logistics processes built with the NAV Anywhere Framework feature step-by-step guidance that makes them very easy to learn. The workflow-based design helps keep their activities consistent and free from errors.

Container management in Food Manufacturing and Distribution hinges on the NAV Anywhere Framework. The NAV Anywhere Framework also supports To-Increase Transport Order Management, a specialized solution which is bundled with To-Increase Food Manufacturing and Distribution in this latest release. It already facilitates a wide range of standardized processes in the areas of logistics, field sales, and field service delivery. In the months to come, we will make new mobile process templates available to support all of these activities with greater productivity results for the food industry. You can incorporate into Food Manufacturing and Distribution the process templates that support standard Dynamics NAV processes. The processes in your operation would still determine the best choices for mobile process templates.
