True to its hype at the inception and thereafter its hallmark of sustainability, the term “digital transformation” has not only withstood the test of time, but has also lived up to addressing the needs of the non-tech-savvy masses. No wonder, the term is still so widely used, even today; and while as a concept, it continues to remain as the primary “go-to” solution to transforming various businesses around the globe. All of this has largely been possible through the palpable positive impacts that digital transformation has had on each of us — touching our lives in a myriad of influential ways for over two decades now.
How far have we come from a thing of the past to a new normal way of doing a thing? … The fleeting realizations and astonishments such as this, do dawn on us every now and then, and rarely fail to amaze us even further about the future “untapped” digital potential. Unsurprisingly, it is this unexplored potential that “we” at To-Increase are excited about as well, and are dynamically poised now more than ever before — to help our clients address their key challenges and opportunities, through an effective and customized digital transformation journey.
Migration to cloud — the first critical step to optimizing digital intensity
According to a recent McKinsey Global Survey of executives, their companies have accelerated the digitization of their customer and supply-chain interactions and internal operations by three to four years. And with most companies around the globe, while the need for digital transformation has already been realized, its urgency has now been further necessitated by the COVID-19 crisis. However, one of the first few steps that the companies will still need to take towards optimizing the digital intensity, is to complete the cloud adoption process effectively, as many of them have apparently not even initiated it yet.
The cloud adoption not only provides an elevated platform for companies to take advantage of the current trends, but it also helps them to improve the overall experience for their customers — whether it is about optimizing costs and efficiency, growing faster, or succeeding in their respective goals. Through migration to cloud, the companies also stand to benefit, as it improves their ability to scale up their operations (or even scale down, when required) seamlessly across different regions and time zones — all this, without worrying about the security and the maintenance of proper governance.
How can To-Increase help you navigate and succeed in digital journey?
Whether it is the replacement of non-digital or outdated processes with newer digital technology or about enabling automation, speed to market, agility, and beyond — To-Increase aims to not just help companies succeed in their current and prime objectives, but also to support them in futureproofing and optimizing their processes and services.
The innovation cycle below (to be interpreted in a clockwise direction) illustrates some of the key initiatives and state-of-the-art technologies that To-Increase is poised to drive to help companies gain advantage in this highly competitive world.
We aim to deliver small cloud native business applications (SaaS) that are easy to scale, implement, and maintain. In the SaaS model, we create a single copy of the software application for distribution over the internet/lifecycle services. The code base of the application is the same for all our clients, so any new features or functionalities added to it can easily be distributed and made available to all the customers.
We release notes of our new features and bug fixes every month, and the SaaS application ensures that these upgrades are available to all the users at the same time.
When you aspire to continuously deliver the best customer experience, the ability to monitor customer data to help them address their key challenges (that they may not even be aware of) plays a critical role in your success.
We are developing an interface (that will be added to all our solutions), which can gather data anonymously and send it to a cloud solution for telemetry-data analysis. This analysis will help us create more value for you and will be an important element of our future customer success strategies.
Telemetry-data analysis can be used for:
Telemetry can help you create benchmark data, which you can effectively use to build successful strategies, address business challenges, and improve your overall performance. Our telemetry tool procures general information (not user- or company-specific data) and uses it anonymously, allowing you to make comparisons, set standards, and deliver the best value to your clients.
Accelerate customer time to value
Based on the system usage patterns of the clients, we at To-Increase aspire to deliver software onboarding programs. Through telemetry, we can gather data that helps you identify the licenses that are being underutilized, overutilized, or optimally utilized. Monitoring the utilization can help you effectively manage your software licenses — ultimately leading to cost savings.
Improvement of the solution
With telemetry, you can effectively use data to analyze the performance of your system and mitigate risks posed by the bottlenecks in your business. You can get insights about the parts of your solution that are being utilized more by your customers; you can then use that data to further enhance the user experience or functionality of your product.
To-Increase aims to build industry-specific customer portals for our clients. As part of this goal, we launched the Equipment Rental and Lease portal last year. And we are now currently working towards expanding our expertise in portals to other industries as well.
In November 2020, To-Increase launched a state-of-the-art, customizable, and cloud-based Rental Customer Portal, which can help rental companies optimize operational costs and efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and respond faster to changing business dynamics. The portal also offers a plethora of benefits to the end-customers, empowering them with the ability to flexibly book, track, and manage their equipment on their own — at any time and from anywhere. Customer portals enable both you and your clients to manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and achieve business goals in a seamless and effective manner.

Internet of Things
We are working on enhancing our IoT solution with new business cases to derive related business insights and provide end-to-end business value, based on a specific use case.
Our Rental IoT solution is based on a simple framework. With IoT, you can easily connect your equipment to the cloud and monitor its movement at any given point of time. You can use the IoT updates to accurately plan your logistics, track the exact location of your equipment, monitor transportation, factor in the time to service the equipment (if required), and deliver to the next customer on time.
The DynaRent IoT would enable you to generate a unique ID of the equipment, even when the movement is not detected, track the time and date of the movement, and provide GPS coordinates of the equipment location. The data provided by the IoT devices can be used to identify unauthorized use of the equipment, which will automatically be detected and updated under chargeable fees in rental orders.
To-Increase strives for customer excellence. We constantly innovate, keeping the challenges of our customers in mind. Presently, we are working on an asset inspection application, which can scan an asset (take a picture or video) based on deep learning and machine learning algorithms. The application can automatically identify an asset that has developed a snag and relay the extent of the damage back to the system. Such instant visibility into damaged equipment will enable you to take appropriate actions, create a workorder, and quickly resolve the issue.
Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)
To-Increase is also researching AR and VR potential to enhance our customers’ value chain. We are exploring the production line visualization and simulation for the Manufacturing domain with:
- Remote craftmanship
- AR|MR work instructions 2.0
- Quality control and document tracing/traceability
- Machine control, IoT, and data visualization on machine
