Document Exchange & EDI

As an extension of the To-Increase Connectivity Studio for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the Document Exchange component supports business processes by enabling you to exchange transactional data messages. Whether you want to support a multicompany/multisite implementation or implement electronic data interchange (EDI) with one or more business partners, Document Exchange helps you manage information flows efficiently and effectively. Document Exchange & EDI supports the exchange of purchase and sales documents, service orders, warehouse transactions, and much more.

Solution overview

Document Exchange & EDI

In its original form, EDI is viewed as a traditional communication method. Because of this, XML―also a recognized communication method―is often identified as a potential replacement for EDI. But XML-based communication between companies is still rather limited. A growing number of organizations are implementing EDI based on well-known standards, such as EDIFACT and ANSI X12. EDI delivers capabilities that range from EDI for external partners to functionality that integrates multicompany/multisite environments. To implement the solution, you will need a third-party EDI translator software program or FTP communication.

Customers

“We were searching for a solution that could help us create and manage orders easily - and our employees need the ability to configure accurate quotations, even if they don’t have full knowledge of our product assortment. e-Con guides the user to choose the right options, even when they’re dealing with many variables, so quotes are always correct. With-e-Con, we’ve been able to reduce order processing time by more than half, from 48 hours per order to less than 24 hours. And within 10 minutes after receiving an order, we can start with the production process.”
